So what does a car club do? With us, it's still up for debate. As we grow surely we will embark on some new adventures but so far the meets have been a short gathering together, followed with a drive to some predetermined destination, usually some food thrown in for lunch and then the cruise back home.
We are having as much fun I think meeting new friends as anything. It's interesting how a love for cars can bring together people of similar interests. I personally enjoy many different car groups. Because they have all been so successful the desire to create a local group was born. There is no hidden agenda with this club, no political motive, no fees to join, no hoops to jump through... It's just an opportunity to get together with car enthusiasts locally and talk/drive the day away.
Who's allowed? Anyone. Mostly we are about Mazda's. If you like the Zoom Zoom commercials Mazda does it seems you are the right type for our club. But don't be discouraged if you haven't purchased your Mazda yet. We would be glad to have you join no matter what kind of car you currently own. Just be forewarned, we may try to convert you.
The area you live in has no effect on your club membership either. As long as you want, and can, drive to our various meeting places, you are close enough. Currently we have members from Richmond, Charlottesville, Danville and Roanoke with several other little towns in between.
